Teaching and Learning

  • To plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work

  • To assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned students, making accurate and productive use of assessment

Job Requirements

Qualifications and experience

  • Recognised teaching qualification (Bachelors of Education or Masters degree in Education)

  • A minimum three years of successful teaching experience in Myanmar language.

  • Experience of teaching students from a wide age and ability range.

Skills and knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience of the Myanmar national government curriculum (Myanmar)

  • Fluency in Myanmar language

  • Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies 

  • A good understanding of how children learn 

  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet students’ needs 

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with students 

  • Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children 

  • Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies 

  • Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
