Responsibilities:

• To provide pre-contract & post contract services including cost planning, prequalification, production of bills of quantities, tendering, letter of award, preparation of contract documents, valuation of interim payments, assessment of variation works and/or contractor’s claims
• To specialize in measurement and standard method of measurement
• To undertake measurement tasks to support cost comparison and project work analysis
• To manage and assess cost effects when changes to the project occur, such as delay, disruption, loss and expense, changes of design and value engineering
• To participate all change order negotiations
• To assist in procurement, tender preparation including participation and preparing Scope of Works, Request for Quotation/Proposal, negotiating the terms, recommendation and drafting the Contract
• To assist with drafting detailed cost reports
• To assist in setting up and monitoring cost data system
• To collaborate with inter-departments from design, MEP, logistic aspects and etc to provide contractual and commercial advices
• To assist, prepare and check the details of monthly financial analysis and recommendation to the management
• To ensure awareness of all project activities that may affect the Contracts
• To report to Department Head of QS on day-to-day tasks
• To support senior staff in commercial meetings
• To negotiate with contractors and reach mutual agreement of final account

Experiences and Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying from recognized university
• Minimum 8 years of experience gained from sizeable consultant or main contractors preferably overseas experience in South East Asian countries
• Experience with FIDIC suite of contract and rules of measurement are preferred
• Working knowledge of residential, commercial, retail experience advantageous
• Myanmar language skills are preferred
• A good standard of written English including a good understanding of contractual terms and their implications and obligations
• High level of computer literacy, in particular with MS Excel and MS Word
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Immediate available is highly preferred
