MARKETING & PRICING PROFESSIONALS

  • Prepare pricing strategy and reports.
  • Plan, implement, and control all advertising activities including press, magazine, outdoor, poster, and other media.
  • Plan and budget general advertising.
  • Prepare annual Ap & P budget.
  • Train all field sales and telesales executives to understand the costing and pricing rationale and use the contract rates appropriately.
  • Organize and implement internal and external promotional strategies for product and service developments.
  • Propose suitable advertising media and promotional ideas for marketing campaigns.
  • Develop, maintain, and update corporate, sales, and POS materials.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on deliverables from agencies.
  • Coordinate with direct marketing agency to develop direct marketing programs.
  • Source, purchase, distribute gift items, and control inventory.
  • Brief other departments on Direct Marketing and Sales Programs before launch.
  • Set up new rates (special and contract) in the billing system.
  • Review all requests for rate changes and rates for new business to ensure they comply with policy, and approve as appropriate in order to ensure profitable growth.
  • Update Client Evaluation Models to ensure the company is fully aware of the relative profitability of accounts.
  • Identify issues and highlight them to the sales team.
  • Report location wise top loss makers and support corrective actions to address the same on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and report on a monthly basis contract end date. List customers whose contracts due to expire and recommend pricing for contract renewal to be forwarded to concerned sales managers one month prior to contract expiry.
  • Implement GPI (General Price Increase).
  • Ensure all new products are accurately incorporated into all profitability reporting streams.
  • Provide ad hoc profitability reporting as requested by management & sales.
  • Assist with the implementation on the agreed strategic pricing alignment both at a macro level (rate card, contracts, etc.) and micro level (new business review, leading loss makers, etc.).
  • Provide costing for new products/pricing scenarios. Including non-core products.
  • Conducts analysis of pricing KPIs to identify profit opportunities.
  • Monitors the pricing scorecard to identify trends, investigate root causes and make recommendations to improve pricing KPIs.
  • Supports execution and implementation of pricing yield programs such as Net Price Change, Ship To Profile, cleansing of surcharge waivers and customised PIDs.
  • Sources and provides pricing inputs and analysis for pricing projects, like SPA (Strategic Pricing Analysis), re-pricing of products/services, competitor research, and surveys.
  • Performs commercial analysis to identify growth opportunities while improving profitability and maintaining or growing DHL market share.
  • Manages annual General Price Increase deliverables as assigned by Pricing Manager or Regional Pricing.
  • Supports Tenders, RFQs and Global Customer Implementations in Global Workflow System.
  • Conducts training and administration for pricing systems and tools.
  • Support regional pricing projects as assigned by Regional Pricing.
  • Responsible for analysis of yield management KPIs, pricing and commercial data in order to identify opportunities for improving profitability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a product and or service pricing role, or in a marketing or business analysis position
  • Experience in pricing or costing
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms, social media trends, and content marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create captivating and persuasive content.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and a data-driven mindset.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
