Job Summary:
The Demand Planner and Procurement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels, managing purchasing activities both locally and internationally, and accurately forecasting demand to support the supply chain operations. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning:
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales insights.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives.
Monitor and adjust forecasts based on market changes, promotional activities, and product lifecycle.
Purchasing:
Manage procurement processes for both local and overseas suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of goods.
Inventory Control:
Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Implement inventory management strategies and practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Supply Chain Coordination:
Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to optimize storage and handling of inventory.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, procurement, and inventory control.
