Description of the vacant position;

Main responsibility

The Team Leader (Physiotherapist) is responsible to ensure the appropriate rehabilitation care to the most vulnarable people (persons with disability and rickets) in coordination and collaboration with existing teams. S/he will play a key role in capacity building of MAM staff and volunteers concerning rehabilitation at the community.

Operational Management

• Responsible in development of manuals for delivering community-based rehabilitation services by company field staff and volunteers
• Provide technical support to field staff and volunteers to be able to identify person with disability who need rehabilitation service and assistive devices
• To diagnose, assess and provide direct rehabilitation care to the person with disablity at the community level
• Organize meetings and trainings staff, volunteers and caretakers
• Assist in developing work plan, monitoring and evaluation disability project activities in accordance project strategic action plan
• Support staff and volunteers on strengthening of caretakers/ family members of person with disability and community stakeholders
• Represent the disability project and organization at the township and village level
• Optimize the use of logistical and financial potential
• Ensure systematic data collection along the project implementation, including specific donor reporting, and identify any shortcoming along the project cycle
• Prepare the monthly project reports in a defined time frame
• Perform any other tasks as required or as assigned by supervisor

Human resources management:

• Assist in recruitment of necessary manpower
• Supervise, train and coach the Field Assistant
• Perform briefings, performance discussions and debriefings of his/her field team
• Perform capacity building and training sessions for field staff

Financial and logistical and data management:

• Ensure all project activities and spending complies with policies and procedures as well as donors’ requirements

• Assist the local administration and bookkeeping

• Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy is a strong advantage. Community Health or other relevant health professional degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in rehabilitation (preferably in community setting
• Fluent in English and Myanmar, prefer to speak local language;
• Willing to travel in remote areas under difficult circumstances (motor bikes,boats, foots). Able to advocate and negotiate with multi stakeholders;
• Firm, flexible, open and decisive; Hard working, accept flexible hours and able to work independently.
