Job Summary:
The Burmese Language Specialist will be responsible for developing, facilitating, and overseeing the Burmese language training and capacity building for staff, master trainers, and facilitators/teachers at Save The Children International. The role involves needs assessment, curriculum development, quality assurance, and collaboration with experts in the Myanmar curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Needs Assessment and Training Development
- Conduct and lead the needs assessment for Burmese Language Training in the field.
- Develop training modules on the Burmese language for master trainers, facilitators, and staff, including contextualizing teacher training modules.
- Review and update ALP/MC curriculum documents for the Burmese language.
Training Facilitation and Capacity Building
- Facilitate basic and refresher Burmese language training for master trainers.
- Support master trainers in facilitating language training for teachers.
- Develop a Learning Management System (LMS) and Interactive Radio Instruction (IRI) content in Burmese.
- Work on capacity development in the Burmese language for partner staff.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Feedback
- Ensure the quality of teaching and content delivery in Burmese.
- Monitor, mentor, and coach partner staff in the effective use of the Burmese language in training and classrooms.
- Provide regular feedback and develop alternative plans for continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Networking
- Collaborate with experts in Myanmar curriculum to stay updated with changes and developments.
- Network with various stakeholders for quality enhancement and curriculum alignment.
