Purpose: ICT DevOps Sr. Engineer monitors the quality of ICT services and coordinates with vendors/internal Dev Team and business stakeholders to ensure high uptime of IT systems/application in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) ­and business requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps best practices, cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure and tools that support our software development and deployment processes.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, resilient infrastructure using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient code deployments.
• Automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and scalability.
• Implement and manage security best practices to safeguard the infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure that services are designed with scale, reliability, and performance in mind.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the DevOps practices within the organization.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure that applications can handle current and future projected user demands.
• Coordinate and manage planned changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Identify opportunities to enhance operations and optimize IT systems, discuss action plans with vendor.
• Involved in Operation Acceptance Testing to govern the system stability.
• Lead incident management and root cause analysis, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
• Perform daily analysis of system incidents and service request reports.
• Participate in cross functional meetings with vendors and business stakeholders.
• Conduct application performance analysis and reporting for environment-related matters.
• Undertake any other related or ancillary duties and responsibilities assigned based on OOREDOO business and operational needs.  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Intermediate level Business English (written and verbal)
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer.
• 3 – 5 years’ work experience in DevOps and management of enterprise applications.
• Good experience in system administration.
