Position Objective:

As the Senior Analyst – Agency Strategy, Planning and Governance, he/she will play a pivotal role in data-driven decision-making within AIA Myanmar Agency Distribution team. You will work closely with the Agency Strategy, Planning and Governance team and other cross-functional teams to extract actionable insights and make informed business decisions, optimize operations, and enhance customer experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Agency Governance:

• Establish and enforce Agency governance policies and standards to maintain quality, security, and compliance with company’s standards.
• Maintain integral day to day operations related, but not limited to, Agency Commissions, Budget, Bonuses and Financials
• Identify potential risks, prepare and execute mitigation plans, risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Agency Governance
• Liaise with Company and Group Finance, Compliance, Risk and related departments to enforce and regulate Agency Governance Standards
• Conduct regular checks, validations and auditing to ensure adherence of Agency Governance Standards
• Responsible for calculation, validation and implementation of agent commissions, bonuses and compensation related payables and receivables

Data Validation:

• Validate the accuracy of agency related reports and campaign leaderboards, to ensure that all data entries are accurate, consistent and are based on valid criteria and calculations.
• Review and cross-check report figures against the source data to identify inconsistencies.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the validation process and ensure that agency data aligns with the company’s data governance standards.

Reporting & Presentation:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive, data-driven reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management team.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations in PowerPoint to effectively communicate insights, findings and recommendations to management team and key stakeholders.

Project Management:

• Lead projects related to Agency data analytics, reporting, strategy and planning, ensuring they are completed within scope, on time, and within budget. Utilize project management tools and techniques.
• Planning, support and execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Agency Strategy, Planning and Governance related projects and initiatives

Data and Financial Analysis:

• Perform cleaning, modeling, and analysis on agency-related datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can guide strategic decisions for agency distribution team.
• Create predictive and prescriptive models using Excel to support agency strategic initiatives.

Data Visualization:

• Develop and maintain visually appealing data visualizations in Excel or Power BI, making complex data easily understandable to non-technical stakeholders.

Automation:

• Streamline data collection, analysis and reporting processes through Excel macros and Power BI to reducing manual efforts and increasing efficiency.

Strategy and Planning Support:

• Collaborate with the strategy and planning team to provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations that support the development and execution of agency-wide strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and long-term financial planning to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in data and analytics operations to enhance strategic decision-making.
• Support on ad hoc projects and reports related to Agency Strategy and Planning

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.

Professional Qualifications:

• Accreditation in ACCA and/or LCCI (Level 3) Strongly Preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in consultancy, financial analysis, business analytics or data analytics roles within the insurance, financial services or technology industries
• Experience in Auditing, Compliance, Risk or related roles strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of insurance industry financial practices and regulations preferred

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Strong MS Office Skills (PowerPoint and Excel) with strong ability to present ideas and actionable initiatives
• Familiarity with data modeling, statistical techniques, and predictive analytics is advantageous
