Reporting to the respective line manager, the role holder is responsible

  • To take ownership of end-to-end data, provide periodic reports, advise strategy, and implement special projects.
  • To lead and drive data-driven decision-making in the banking sector
  • To oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to support strategic business initiative
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyse large sets of financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Develop and generate regular reports for management to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make informed decisions.
  • Dashboard Design & Mockup Development:
    • Design and Mockup interactive dashboards that visually represent complex data in a comprehensible manner.
  • Data Governance:
    • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data through the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies.
    • Work with IT and other stakeholders to establish data quality standards and procedures.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals and objectives.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor the performance of different banking products, services, and channels.
    • Identify areas for improvement and work with relevant teams to implement changes to enhance overall performance.

  • Forecasting and Predictive Analysis:
    • Utilize statistical models and predictive analytics to forecast future trends and performance.
    • Support the development of predictive models for credit risk assessment and fraud detection.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, marketing, and risk management.
    • Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to bank staff on the use of BI tools and interpretation of data.
    • Ensure that end-users have the necessary skills to make data-driven decisions.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure that BI processes and practices comply with regulatory requirements.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive financial and customer data.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on advancements in BI tools, technologies, and methodologies.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve BI processes and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis.
  • Other tasks are assigned and directed by the CEO.

Job Requirements

  •  5-8 years of professional experience in qualitative & quantitative analytics
  • Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or data management within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, looker or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using advanced statistical packages for analysing datasets (SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Experience creating excel models and dashboards
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance relevant to data management and security in the banking industry. 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills.
  • Working-level proficiency in both English and Burmese
  • Very creative, proactive, good team player and highly self-drivenDegree preferably Economics, Business studies or related matters
